I wasn’t sure about paying for a membership at first, but like i said, once I compared it to just one weekend of pet sitting or putting my pet in a kennel, the price started to make a lot more sense.

We’ve already used it twice, and like i said, it basically paid for itself. The site is easy to use, and I like that there are different plans so you can just pick the one that fits what you need.

I’ve used TrustedHousesitters a few times, and overall it’s been okay. It usually does what I need it to do, but I do find the app a bit clunky at times. I’ve had moments where I was trying to keep track of messages and it wasn’t as straightforward as I expected, which made things feel more confusing than they needed to be. The search filters could also be better, especially when you’re trying to narrow things down quickly. It’s not a bad site by any means, but it feels like it could use some tidying up to make the whole experience easier.

We used TrustedHousesitters when we were away for 10 days, it worked out way better than I expected. I always get a little stressed leaving the house and pets with someone new because, let’s be real, it’s a lot of trust to hand over your keys and hope everything doesn’t turn into chaos.
Our sitter was great though. They followed all the care notes, fed the cats on time, sent a few updates, watered the plants, and left the house tidy. Which sounds basic, but apparently “basic instructions” are not basic for everyone, so it was genuinely nice to come home and not find dead plants, grumpy cats, or some weird mess waiting for us.
The site itself was easy to use, and reading reviews made us feel a lot better about picking someone. It took some of the usual travel stress off our plate, which I appreciate more than I thought I would. We’d definitely use it again for another trip.

Our sitter was great about communication right from the start. She replied quickly, asked the kind of normal, useful questions that made me feel like she was really paying attention, and seemed to genuinely care about both our pets and the house. For some reason I still remember she asked which mug was okay to use, which was oddly sweet.

While we were away, she sent little updates and photos at just the right amount, not constant, but enough that I could actually relax. It made the whole trip feel way less stressful, and I’d definitely use TrustedHousesitters again.

I did end up finding a really nice sitter for my cat, so it worked out in the end. But getting there was a little clunkier than I expected. I think I started looking around late May, or maybe it was early June, and the messaging back and forth took more effort than I thought it would. A few profiles looked perfect but never replied, which was frustrating when I was trying to lock in dates. Overall, it’s a good idea and I’m glad I found someone, but for the price I was hoping the whole process would feel a bit smoother

I signed up mostly because I wanted to find house sits in other countries, there are some really cool ones on there. I came across places in Spain, France, Canada, and a bunch of other spots, and at first I was like, okay wow, this could actually be amazing.
That said, getting picked is not always easy, especially when you’re new. Some sits get flooded with applications almost immediately, and a few owners just never respond at all. Which is fine, I guess. No, actually, it’s frustrating.
I did end up getting one really nice sit abroad, so in the end it was worth it for me. I just wish the whole process felt a little more balanced and less like you’re sending messages into the void sometimes.

Some of the reviews definitely came across as genuine, but a few felt almost a little too polished, like maybe there’s more going on behind the scenes, though I obviously can’t prove that. I’d still use it, but I’d feel better if there was more obvious checking or verification before taking everything at face value...

My sitter cancelled last minute. I panicked a bit. TrustedHousesitters support replied quickly and helped me figure out the next step. Still stressful, yeah. But they were calm and actually helpful. Glad they were there.

It does work well, and I’ve found some genuinely nice sits through it, so I’m not saying it’s bad at all. I just think the yearly fee is a little steep if you’re not using it regularly. If you get a lot out of it, fair enough, but for occasional use it can feel like a lot to justify.

The sitter we found lined up with our dates and was comfortable with our pets , so we didn’t have to do a ton of messaging back and forth . The site feels straightforward to use , and so far I really don’t have any complaints .
